My Family Meatballs

Meatballs is one of the most famous Italian recipes. It is a very ancient recipe (from 25 BC) and it is a dish based on beef or fish, mixed with eggs, bread, herbs and a lot of spices! As usual in Italy each family adds something to personalize the recipe. And today I will explain to you my family recipe!!!

Ground beef (extra lean) Grated Parmesan cheese Parsley Garlic White Wine Milk Bread

Grated Nutmeg Egg Evo Salt Tomato Sauce Steps

  • Divide the internal part of bread into two different bowls

  • in the first bowl add wine and mix to obtain a mixture soft and smooth

  • Divide the internal part of bread into two different bowls

  • In the second bowl add milk and mix to obtain a mixture soft and smooth

  • in a large bowl add together the ingredients (ground beef, chopped parsley, chopped garlic , grated nutmeg , grated parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and the 2 mixtures)

  • Mix very well to obtain a smooth and soft mixture

  • form your meatballs (I prefer to prepare little meatballs because it is easier to cook)

  • add Evo in a frying pan and when it is very hot add the meatballs and cook them just for few minutes.

  • Place the tomato sauce in a pan and add the previously fried meatballs and cook for another 15 minutes
