Rice and Peas in Italy is a cult.
And it is my husband favorite dish!
It is a simple recipe but as usual I have my family recipe that is more rich and tasty!

Peas (fresh or frozen)
Parmesan cheese grated
Extra virgin olive oil
cook the peas in a pan with extravirgin olive oil, onion, salt, and water. cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes
when the peas are cooked, add the rice and some water to cover it. Cook for 20 minutes or so
when the rice and peas are cooked, drain very well and place in a bowl
add ham and cheese cut in little pieces; add butter and parmesan cheese grated
mix all together
place the mixture in a baking pan already oiled
add on top mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese grated
bake it at 380 degrees F, for 40 minutes or so
