Blueberry Plumcake


A new recipe, fresh and tasty. It is perfect for your breakfast.

Often I serve it with Vanilla Gelato.

You have to use just fresh ingredient and you could have a very good smell in your home.

The name of Plumcake arrive from Germany where it is originated from.

It was a Prugne Cake.

Now this name is used for all the fruit cake.

In this case I used Blueberries and Lemon.

  • 250 gr / 2 cups Flour

  • 160 gr / 1+1/4 cups Sugar

  • 16 gr / 3.5 tsp Baking Powder

  • 3 Eggs

  • 200 gr / 1 cup Yogurt

  • 80 ml Corn Oil

  • 2 Lemons zest

  • Limoncello (optional)

  • 300 gr / 2 cups Blueberries


  1. Place in a bowl Eggs and Sugar and mix it for 5 minutes or so. It will become almost white

  2. Continuing mixing, add the Corn Oil, the Yogurt and the Lemons zest

  3. Add the Flour and the Baking Powder and mix all together

  4. At the end if you want add a bit of Limoncello

  5. When the dough is ready, add the Blueberries

  6. Place it in a oiled and floured Baking pan and oven it 350F for 40 minutes or so. Check if it is cooked.
