Lemon Pudding Gele'


today a summer dessert!

It is a Sicilian dessert and it is a "Gelo" that means pudding without milk.

In this case we use all the lemon, zest and juice.

We use to eat it after a fish dinner, like a refreshing dessert.

It easy and fast to prepare with few ingredients.

Here are the ingredients and the steps. You can find the video recipe in my Instagram page (my profile - highlights) or in my YouTube channel.


  • 5 Lemons organic

  • Corn Starch 50gr/ 1/4 cup+1tbsp

  • Water 500 ML

  • Lemon Juice 50 ML

  • Sugar 150gr/ 1 cup


  • peel the Lemons take just the yellow and not the white part

  • place in a bowl with the water and close it and leave in the refrigerator for 1 night (12 hours)

  • after that, filter the aromatic water and add the Lemon Juice

  • in a pan, place the Sugar and the Corn Starch and slowly add the aromatic water with the Juice and mix slowly

  • cook until it boils, mixing

  • place the pudding in little bowls and decorate as you prefer

  • leave in the refrigerator for 4 hours
