Pasqualina Cake

today a very ancient recipe that uses eggs, vegetables, cheese.

Today I prepared my family recipes, but there are a lot of different version of this cake.

We use to prepare it for Easter Monday lunch.

  • Puff Pastry

  • Ricotta Cheese

  • Spinach

  • Black Pepper

  • Salt

  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

  • Eggs

  • Prosciutto

  • Mozzarella cheese

Here are the ingredients and the steps. You can find the video recipe in my Instagram page (my profile - highlights) or in my YouTube channel.


  1. Place in a pan the Spinach and a pinch of Salt and cook it for 5 minutes

  2. Place in a pan Ricotta cheese and boiled Spinach, add Salt, Black Pepper and grated Parmesan cheese and mix

  3. Place the Puff Pastry in a baking pan, add a layer of Prosciutto, a layer of Mozzarella and a layer of Spinach and Ricotta mixture

  4. Boil the Eggs and peel them and mash them

  5. Spread on top of the cake the Eggs

  6. Decorate as you prefer and bake it, 350F for 20 minutes or so.
